Laboratory Personnel Competency Assessment and Training

To help combat this statistic Tricyclic Limited has developed a class leading, comprehensive, SQA Approved Competency Assessment System (www.sqa.org.uk).

The data produced by an oilfield laboratory is vital to maintaining the integrity of the asset/infrastructure as well as to the safe, fiscally aware and optimised operation of the production system.

Our Oilfield Laboratory Competency Assessment System is aimed at providing a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme for oilfield personnel, whether they are Production Operators or Chemists.

This robust system assesses candidates in a number of ways including direct observation by our assessors and written questioning conducted in a controlled environment.

Successful completion of the Tricyclic Limited Competency Assessment System will see candidates awarded an SQA "Certificate in Laboratory Operations - Oil & Gas".

Tricyclic Limited will formulate a detailed training matrix for each individual based on any knowledge gaps identified during the assessment process.

In addition, Tricyclic Limited offer an SQA Approved competency based award in the "Sampling and Analysis of Oil in Produced Water" according to the DECC guidelines.

Tricyclic Limited also provides extensive oilfield laboratory centred training services.  Designed with the individual in mind, this training can be conducted at the place of work or within our training laboratory.

Training can cover everything from sampling of liquids and gases at high pressure to laboratory and chemical management.

Our in-house, trained, Technical Authors follow the *INTECOM ‘Code of Good Practice for Technical Communicators' when compiling documentation.

Laboratory Procedures Manuals will always be produced with the end-user in mind, incorporating standard industry procedures (ASTM; IP; ISO etc.) and the laboratory equipment being used on site.

It is imperative that the completed Laboratory Procedures Manual does not burden the user with information that he does not need and that it is expressed in a clear and simple fashion.

With our vast experience in the use and operation of oilfield laboratories Tricyclic Limited is well placed to undertake initial laboratory design during FEED process (Front End Engineering Design).  Tricyclic Limited designed laboratories are ‘fit-for-purpose' as well as conforming to international standards.

With many years of Project Management and field commissioning experience Tricyclic Limited are also well versed in the provision of a complete EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning) solution.
